The Region We Serve

Ahu Community Trust supports communities across Mid and South Canterbury, providing funding and support to organisations working within this region.
The region is shaped by the Rakaia River in the north, the Waitaki River in the south, and the Southern Alps to the west. Within these boundaries sit the four local authority districts of Ashburton, Mackenzie, Timaru and Waimate.
Across this landscape are many distinct communities, each with its own character, needs and strengths. Ahu Community Trust exists to help these communities take root, grow and flourish, while recognising the connections that link them across the wider region.

Support for Community Groups
Great communities grow through people with ideas. Our Community Grants are here to support those ideas, helping local organisations create positive change across Mid and South Canterbury. Explore our funding options below to get started.
